Nope, date drop is a student-ran effort! Similar events have been ran at Stanford, Princeton, Penn, etc. In order to prioritize your safety, we do not accept any passwords or sensitive information during signup. For more information, check out our privacy policy.
How does the matching algorithm work?
Our algorithm considers your core values, lifestyle preferences, relationship expectations, and dealbreakers to find highly compatible matches. We prioritize quality over quantity.
What do you do with my data?
Your privacy is our priority. Your questionnaire responses are kept separate from your personal info, and we do not take any of your passwords as inputs. Matches only see your name and email - nothing else.
Who can join?
Currently, Date Drop is exclusively for UC Irvine students. You need a valid @uci.edu email address to participate.
What measures are taken to ensure safety?
We verify all users with their university email. We recommend meeting in public places for first dates and exercising standard precautions.
Does it cost money?
Nope! Date Drop is completely free for students.
Is this for non-romantic relationships?
Date Drop is exclusively for romantic connections.
